So in the last 2 days I’ve had a great time hanging with the church body, my daughter and I had a great time getting to know a really nice big family at our church. There are quite a few kids in the family ranging for age 20 to 7 months. They are great fun as well, it’s very nice getting know them and how they access the Lord in their life. They have family devotions every night which is wonderful, the parents are very sweet and gentle in the way the speak to each other and their children. There doesn’t seem to be any yelling at each other at all, they all take turns caring for the littlest sister and they just seem to enjoy each others company. It’s a wonderful blessing to witness this.
The other thing I noticed is that they seem to like to do things as a family, the ratio of females to males is quite uneven in worldly terms but God’s plan is always perfect. In the Godly mindset of things, that is just how he wanted it. 5 girls and mom to 1 boy and the dad means the males are outnumbered but who cares. What’s neat about this number of females to males is the son will absolutely know how to treat a woman when he gets old enough and then will be a blessing to some really blessed girl. I’m really glad that there are big families out there that are honoring God and loving each other like the bible calls us too. And when we watched a movie with them I was so pleased to see how all the kids INCLUDING MINE, didn’t want to watch the sexy scenes in the movie, everybody was in agreement to fast forward through all those scenes. The movie that we were watching was The Amazing Spider Man. What a great testimony to the Lord.

I really learned a lot about family last night, being that I have such a small one. What a nice refreshing thing to know multiple kids doesn’t mean chaos and confusion, sometimes it means this is God’s ultimate design and wish for the family, and what a wonderful picture of Christ and his church.
