So the wedding finally happened and my daughter is now a married woman. Just suffice it to say, it was all a very short engagement to get to the wedding. Both Lani, and Matt were wanting to do everything it took to say faithful to God. And since they did that the Lord blessed their union, with an awesome little wedding.
God’s sovereignty is amazing, and it’s so quiet and not in your face, but so prevalent in a person’s life. From the day they decided on a wedding date to the day it happened, everything fell into place effortlessly. So many people volunteered to help them make it wonderful. From the photographer to the cake designer, and everyone in between made it spectacular.
That is why it was all God, because most of the people who helped with the wedding, didn’t ask them to pay for their services, and had never met Lani or Matt before the wedding day. Most of the helpers, did it because they knew me and wanted to bless me, and didn’t even know me that well!!! I just saw the hand of God working in the hearts of his people in every way, so much so that it brings tears to my eyes. Having a church family is a beautiful thing, and I can’t say enough thank you’s to everyone. Anyway, I’m grateful for the love of my church family, and God, he is always good, and always faithful, even when I am not.
So here’s a few highlights from the special day…
~14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.~ Shazza ~ Musings&Rants
