About Me

close up face forwardSo, what’s really going on? Well, the most important thing to know about me is that I’m a Christian, saved by grace. Then, I’m a single mom of an adult daughter, and it’s been she and I since her birth. (Until recently, when she got married to a very wonderful man named Matt.) I was saved 2 months before her birth, so I was a baby Christian raising a baby, without a husband. Since those 2 births, my rebirth and my daughter’s physical birth I’ve been blessed ever since. I went to a very good church for the first 10 years of her life, where I received a good foundation of the bible and, how to live out my salvation. Then, this last 10 years have been a much harder, more, sanctifying journey. But as the Bible says, “but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.” ~ Philippians 3:12. Finally, the most wonderful thing that can happen to a parent has happened to me, and makes pressing on all worth it, and that is my daughter also is saved by grace through faith. Her baptism was on July, 8th 2012, 4 days after her 21st birthday, how timely!! Now this is something to rejoice about and I do!!! So anything else that happens to us from here is just, GRACE UPON GRACE. And I know I don’t deserve any of it.

Other things you might notice about me on my blog which are pretty obvious but I tell you anyway is I love flowers and I also really love trees in fall. And a pretty gray sky before a storm (something we don’t have a lot of living in California). Oh and shoes!!! So occasionally you might see pictures of my feet and that’s because I’m displaying my new favorite pair of shoes at that moment. So thanks for stopping by and seeing what is really going on with me.

  3. I’ll be honest, I’m not the strongest in my faith … actually I question it all the time. Sometimes I get “annoyed” when I see Bible verses on posts — more because of my own issues than anything. I guess I get mad at God. After that chat on my post, I was looking through your blog a bit more, I noticed the “Bible” section — and I just had this weird need to actually follow your blog. I guess I just have this feeling I need to learn more or something…I don’t know. It was weird. Anyway, so I will be following you 🙂

    • Sweet, I don’t like blogs that throw faith in your face, but I do want people to know where I stand on a lot of issues. So thanks for following me as well. I write mostly about my daughter and movies overall so there is a mixture of things here. One thing I cannot do is be too specific about what I want to talk about, I don’t have that talent to remain focused lol. But thanks again and welcome, also thanks for your honesty too!!! 🙂

    Thanks for this review because I was thinking about seeing this but I think I’ll pass. Leo is HOT, as usual, but if the story is lacking I’d rather just watch Titanic again and be done with it! 😉

  15. Shazza, I nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger award because when I read this blog, I come away with joy… Do you know what I’m talking about? Joy of living, joy of the Lord… As you share your musings and rants, sometimes I chuckle and laugh right out loud (lrol?) You review television shows and movies, talk about your daughter, and then before I know it, you’re talking about the Lord. He has given you a zest for life, and it comes through your blogs.
