WPC: McDonald’s Wallpaper & Floating Roses

Trying to take pics of depth conjures up many things in my mind, and from the examples of other blogs I’ve really got nothing substantial here to work with. Although, it’s the trying I guess that counts, at least that’s what I’m telling myself right now…

WPC: A Summer Sky and A Tree Converge

I took this pic with my camera phone in late August, 2014, it was about 100° F,  when Crepe Myrtle Trees are in full bloom all around Northern CA. The sky was so picturesque and I just love the colors that I tweaked on picmonkey. Anyway, this is my rendition of Converge.

WPC: Finding The Toilet & Turning On Water

Minimalist ~ This week, show us your minimalist photos.

I went looking for the toilet in the bathroom and this is what I found, I was at my friend’s house and he has a amazing place, so I got my camera phone out and snap a pic of this. It made me laugh and was interesting. I thought it was a trash can, the flusher is the sliver button on the side, and I guess the toilet is something like a trash can…

So the sink was a little easier to identify, but learning how to turn it on was a puzzle!!!!!

Finding running water was strange too.

WPC: Texture

Guest photographer Natalia Maks invites you to find unexpected textures in the world around you.

I haven’t done a Photo Challenge in sometime. I haven’t been inspired until today I guess. And I just happened to have some texture pics floating around in my computer from early this year Jan ~ March.

WPC: Spring!!!

For this week’s challenge, share a photo which describes what spring means to you. It can be a flower in bloom (or a field of them!), a May Day celebration, or even some kids enjoying the sun after a long winter indoors.

Okay, so this is an easy challenge this week for me. Spring, is great because babies are born, flowers are blooming and I’m so excited to take pics of all of it!!! So here we go…

These are so lovely this time of year, it’s amazing the way God shows his artistry during spring!!!

Brand new baby foal, 9 days old by his mommy.

Here is an adorable foal, he was kind of bashful 9 days out of her mommies belly.  This is my friends daughter Suzy’s ranch Rainbow Equus Meadows.

IMG_20140503_134109This baby chick was bought from a chick and incubator, (no mommy)  and then put under a hen at Suzy’s ranch and the hen adopted it. It was precious to see the hen not wanting to get off the chick keeping it warm under her feathers. While she clucked softly, Suzy picked up the chick to show us. I should have taken a pic of the foster mom hen as well.

And finally, these beautiful roses, don’t know the exact names, because there are over 2000 types; but oh so wonderful to smell and marvel at. ~ Musings&Rants

Weekly Photo Challenge: Let There Be Wedding Lights

IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO THAT FEATURES A LIGHT SOURCE.

This light source is from my daughter’s wedding, these were the centerpieces we used which were super cheap and very easy to create.   And also gave a great effect, just mason jars and tea light candles.

Also, these lights were decorations for the wedding as well, instead of using lots of expensive flowers, my daughter looked on YouTube and came up with using LED light wands as decorations, and LED light’s in her flower bouquet and earrings, also the boutineer had a LED light inside, flowers were fake.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unexpected Horse Head

IN A NEW POST CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO THAT MEANS UNEXPECTED TO YOU.

Yesterday was compelling, because I didn’t expect to see anything noteworthy or interesting, as I walked into the doctors lobby with Mormor.   However, I stood by this wonderful looking sculpture in the middle of the lobby.   I thought wow, isn’t this nice, so I popped out my phone and took a few pics.   As I was taking the pics, one of the doctors walked out of his office and said, “you like that thing?”   and I said, “I love it.” he said he hated it as he continued walking past me.   To each his own as they say…

Weekly Photo Challenge: A Hue Of Me!!!

IN A NEW POST CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO INCLUDING THE HUE(S) OF YOU!

I took these pics in April of this year, when I was on my walk. I think these flowers are Lantana flowers and are also my favorite color.  This magenta and deep purple is just so pleasing to my eyes.  So, I thought I would share it. Shazza ~ Musings&Rants
